Taking place at Salinas Sports Complex from July 19 to 22, the California Rodeo Salinas is now in its 108th year.

Each year this world-class event does an incredible job of preserving and promoting the traditions of rodeo and the West.

It also hosts some of the best music acts that the US has to offer…

This year’s Rodeo Kick Off Concert on July 13 is featuring non-other than Blake Shelton as the headline act, but the rodeo has also announced that the show will also be featuring Danielle Bradbery and Jimmie Allen.

Bradbery, winner of season 4 of The Voice and a member of Blake Shelton’s team on that show, made her debut in 2013 at the age of 16 when she released a top five self-titled debut album of country songs.
Her current album, I Don’t Believe We’ve Met, was released in 2017 and features hits like Sway, a feel-good, doo-wop flavored single and Worth It, which is currently playing on country radio.

Bradbery has expanded her song-writing efforts and is excited about the boundaries of country music being constantly redefined, adding songs with a R&B and hip-hop feel to her new album. Bradbery will take the stage at 8pm on Friday, July 13th, following Jimmie Allen who will take the stage at 7pm.

Jimmie Allen’s view on life is to never give up. Allen’s tenacity took him from living in his car and working multiple jobs to performing at the Bluebird Café and writing a song for a Super Bowl commercial.

Allen’s EP is a cutting-edge mix of country, rock R&B, and pop. Underdogs and Best Shot reveal Allen’s true story of laying it all on the line, while Back Home to You, Back of Your Mind, and Blue Jean Baby find the singer-songwriter reflecting on his journey to the spotlight.

If you don’t one to miss out on one of the best shows of the summer, make your way to Salinas and book into the Laurel Inn and Conference Center. The property’s pleasant rooms feature all the amenities you could wish for during your rodeo getaway.
