Returning to the skies of Salinas for the 37th time, this year’s California International Airshow Salinas will see more than its fair share of jaw-dropping aeronautical acrobatics.
 
Top military and civilian performers from the US and Canada are set to thrill the crowds, and over 100 static aircraft, exhibits and displays are available for Airshow fans to enjoy during the experience.
 
To help you make the very most of all the aeronautical fun, we’re sharing five good reasons why you should be excited for this world-class event, which takes place at Salinas Municipal Airport on September 30^th and October 1^st, 2017.
 

1. There will be Some Incredible Airshow Performances

This year’s show will feature demonstration flights of the US Air Force F-22 Raptor fighter, Greg Colyer’s T-33 Shooting Star, the Royal Canadian Air Force CT-142 Dash 8, Vicky Benzing and her Boeing Stearman, Kent Pietsch in his Jelly Belly bi-plane and the Beast Jet Car. Flying will begin at 12pm.  
 

2. Exciting Military Demonstrations and More

There will be a mindboggling array of military demos, fly-bys and aircraft displays to enjoy too. Also, show admission is absolutely free for those with valid military ID.
 

3. Don Cheto will be there

Popular radio and TV personality Don Cheto will be at the show on Sunday October 1 for a special meet-and-greet session. Cheto is the host of a top-rated morning radio show for Latinos living in the US, as well as the host of El Show de Don Cheto. He also serves as a celebrity judge on Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento and the late-night talk show Noches con Platanito.
 

4. Inexpensive Family Fun

General admission tickets for adults are just $20 in advance.  You can also purchase tickets at the gate, when it opens at 9am.
